55 Year old patient came with left orbital swelling. past history of COVID-19, treated with IV steroids.
CT FINDINGS show , marked changes of sinusitis with hyperdense contents in left maxillary and ethmoid sinus with bony wall eroision.
There is rare fraction and thinning of lamina paprecia and intra orbital extension of infection with marked inflammatory changes.
Diagnosis- Mucormycosis fungal infection (Proven histopathologically)
There is alarming rise in such patients recemtly, especially post covid treated with steroids.
